Project Description

Project Brief

A Brand (or Branding) refers to the perceived image and subsequent emotional response to a company, its products and services. It also represents the conversation that customers are having with each other about the company, and how that spreads. My favorite definition about brand is the one Seth  A brand is the set of expectations, memories, stories and relationships that, taken together, account for a consumer’s decision to choose one product or service over another. If the consumer (whether it’s a business, a buyer, a voter or a donor) doesn’t pay a premium, make a selection or spread the word, then no brand value exists for that consumer.

Skills Needed

A logo does not need to be complex – some of the best logos out there look really simple in design. It needs to be easily memorable after a quick glance, be resistant to looking dated over time, and be able to stand out in a variety of settings. There are three key aspects that encompass what makes a good logo. It needs to be relevant, versatile and iconic.

Initial Concept Planning

With a solution decided upon, it is now up to the designer to create the logo; however it is vital to look ahead to the application of the logo. The logo may vary depending on its focus, whether it’s used on a poster, business card, website, brochure, an avatar, pen. The best solution to this is all of them. The logo should look good no matter how big or small, or whatever the location or purpose of it is.

Conceptual thinking

After all relevant information has been gathered, the next step is to analyse the data. There are many tools that can be used for this purpose such as colour wheels, brainstorming or mind maps to help find what concepts are worth pursuing. This will allow the designer to help see the overall view of the company and what they need, thus enabling a link between a logo that not only looks good, but has a deep connection to the company’s identity.

Communicate effectively

Being able to communicate effective is important for any designer, but this is especially important when working with a client to create a logo. Often small businesses will not understand the importance of creating a fitting logo.

Strong Brands

A strong and focused visual rebrand creates a competitive advantage and can help to stimulate business growth, with brand evolution reaffirming client trust whilst attracting new customers. Airbnb and Spotify demonstrate that great visual identities should reflect the values firmly embedded within the product or service, target the right audience and – the holy grail of all branding – stand out from the crowd for the right reasons.

Excellent Results

At Nano Creativitieies, we love a good dose of brand evolution. The art of branding is more than just a logo design and a new colour palette. It should always communicate your business values to customers. Although Spotify and Airbnb provide very different services, one thing is apparent: expertise, thorough market research and creative vision are all at the heart of meaningful design innovation.
